Being a motorcycle ministry, Azusa StreetRiders has a goal to help further the Apostles' Doctrine by providing motorcycles, motor scooters or even bicycles to Oneness Apostolic missionaries on foreign fields. In many countries, the best and sometimes only means of reaching people with "the truth" is to ride a motor scooter or motorcycle to remote locations or to negotiate heavy traffic congestions where cars only move at a "snail's pace". The dedicated missionaries who use two-wheel transportation are truly, to us, Brothers in Arms.
Azusa StreetRiders has a goal to purchase motor scooters, motorcycles and/or even bicycles every calendar year and place them in the capable hands of foreign missionaries to use on their fields of burden. We've set up a special account to purchase two-wheel transportation for these missionaries and fund it through local fundraising events held nationwide.
Due to many differences in availability of bikes and parts around the world, and especially due to maintenance concerns, we've learned that it's best to provide the funds directly to our foreign missionaries and allow them to purchase their own bike, motorcycle or motor scooter in the country where they're working. This helps insure that parts will be available and that the vehicle will be serviced properly and will last longer.
