I road in 4 different outlaw motorcycle gangs...

My name is Larry P. Dillon, I want to let you know that God is a Deliver, there is no one to far gone, to addicted, to demonic, or to crazy for Jesus Christ to deliver.

I started sneaking cigarettes when I was 6 yrs. old, drinking when I was about 14 and doing drugs in my early twenties, so I had drank over half my life, did drugs for over 10 years, any thing I could snort, hit or smoke I did.

I was born April 12, 1960...

I was born April 12, 1960, a fourth generation apostolic. My mother had been praying and fasting for me for more than a week, when I received the Holy Ghost at age 17. At this time in my life all I thought about was the most ungodly things one could have imagined. I loved God, but only from a distance. My life was full of perversion, drugs and violence. Despite my life style, and no matter how late I was out, on Sunday morning, I was in Sunday school.

The following is my testimony...

In 1st Chronicles 16:8-9 we read, “Give thanks unto the Lord call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him, talk ye of all His wondrous works.” In psalms 77:12 we read, “I will meditate also of all thy works, and talk of thy doings.” We are to talk to others of all the things Jesus has done for us. The things He has delivered us out of. Not bragging or for ourselves, but to bring glory to the name of Jesus. That through our words others may see the love, mercy and grace of God. In Revelation 12:11 it says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.”

I was born into a large family...

I was born into a large family with two brothers and three sisters. So needless to say my mother was continually busy. My father was always working shift work at the airport. When he was home, he was always busy repairing things and it seemed as though he could never get caught up. That’s where I came in. I worked on our farm to help my dad out.

To put it mildly, 2009 has been a rough year...

To put it mildly, 2009 has been a rough year, so far. I was involved in an accident on the 1st of January and am still recuperating. The scenario for the accident is all too familiar to us who prefer to travel on 2 (or 3) wheels. I was driving down a straight, level and dry road, on my way to spend time with my oldest daughter. The ride was only about 15 minutes so I jumped on my bike, put the snacks in the saddle-bags and left for a day of fellowship and football.

I was brought up in the Methodist Church...

Parts of my testimony may upset you but please read all of my it to where I finally come to know the full truth of God’s plan of salvation

I was brought up in the Methodist Church as my father’s family had been for over a century.  However, my father did not attend church on a regular basis but only on special occasions and the usual holidays. I remember many times I would skip Sunday school and use the money given to me for offering to buy candy.  Like my father, God was not part of my life and I had no fear of Him.

Your web site is one of the things that made me and my family go back to church. we were out of church for about 2 years, and we were going down the wrong road. I ride a motorcycle also but never thought about using it for God's kingdom, until I seen your web site.

Like many others now in this truth...

Like many others now in this truth, I wasn’t raised in a church. And, though my parents had been members of traditional churches in the past and my father’s family was active in the church they belonged to, as children we seldom attended. I suppose you would call us C & E Christians; we were Christians because we went on Christmas and Easter, and, after all, we were Americans for cryin’ out loud!
